About the Transaction Management Associate position

We seek to hire a highly analytical and qualified Transaction Management Associate to join our team. You will be require d to manage daily reconciliation of transactions, settlements, and escalations to relevant departments, banking partners, processors and more for any risk-related issues.

To ensure success as a Transaction Management Associate , you should possess in-depth knowledge of best practices in reconciliations and experience in a similar environment.

An outstanding Transaction Management Associate will be someone whose expertise results in accurate financial reporting and efficient transaction reporting .

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure daily reconciliation of all transactions and provide daily / weekly reconciliation and settlement reports .
  • Manage internal and external controls for payment processes, escalate and resolve payment issues while working with Product, Customer Service and Engineering team.
  • Perform daily and weekly revenue recognition and cost optimization exercises.
  • Liaise with partners (banks etc . ) to ensure optimal cost structures and verify daily settlements .
  • Execute chargebacks and dispute resolutions of transactions .
  • Identify unsettled transactions and actively engage with partners for resolution .
  • Investigate and identify unsuccessful transactions and process refunds into customers’ accounts .
  • Ensure the business is not exposed to any material risks emanating from reconciliation variances .
  • Develop models that assist in the reconciliation process to speed up reconciliation and provide accuracy.
  • Document processes, procedures, resolution guides etc. for the settlement team.
  • Requirements :

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience working in a similar role in the banking, fintech, or financial services industry .
  • In-depth knowledge of bank reconciliation and settlement dynamics and processes
  • Process-driven understand s in-depth financial control processes intuitively, highly organized, and are constantly look s out for process improvement opportunities .
  • Collaborative seek s to understand and then to be understood. C ommunicate s actions and intentions clearly - verbally as well as in a written form.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills . Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations.
