Awareness of Company’s Quality Policy, HSSE Policy and ILF Nigeria Health and Safety Management.
Respon sible to execute all required Civil / Struc tural related engineering works covering the Scope of Work for all projects executed by ILF Engineers Nigeria.
Respon sible for infor mation exchange between the Civil / Struc tural Team and all other Disci pline Teams within the project at its own level.
Use of 3D modelling tools such as PDMS, EDS and AutoCAD 3D for design reviews and presentations
Competent in extracting struc tural 2D draft from modelled environment
Follow-up of the project files and documen tation, including maintaining the standard project files structure on server / SharePoint.
Respon sible to implement at its level all required measures to ensure quality at source.
With direct super vision of a Lead or Senior Engineer, will be required to carry out engineering analysis and recommend technical solutions, generate detailed engineering drawings, liaise with the drafting personnel for the prepa ration of drawings and prepares engineering reports.
Able to perform at a basic level the functions of organizing its own work in agreement with other engineers in own discipline.
Identify and report to Senior Engineer all events, requests, which are not compliant with the project scope of work.
Parti cipate in weekly engineering meetings, based on project requirements.
Must be familiar with relevant industry codes and standards, design speci fi ca tions, and practices.
Ensure ease of construc ta bility is consi dered in all Civil / Struc tural technical solutions / deliverables.
Able to perform Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, and Fabri cation Design.
Develo pment of FEED / Conceptual design documen tation on offshore and onshore projects for hydro carbon, power plants, petro che micals, hydro and infra st ruc tural projects, etc and prepare review reports on behalf of ILF or clients
Ability to use relevant software for Civil / Struc tural engineering. inter me diate level of under standing of design calcu la tions and result interpretation.
Skilled in prepa ration of disci pline progress report, tracking of engineering hold-items, Civil-struc tural schedule estimation, updating / tracking of struc tural MDR, etc.
Capable in developing intel ligent spreads heets to project manage civil / structural aspects of works on behalf of clients.
Core compe tence in the analysis of foundation for large and mediul diameter storage tanks and pressure vessels to API 650 3, EN Codes and other relevant API codes
Struc tural analysis and design of internal roof supporting struc tures for low pressure (atmos pheric) tanks
Prepa ration of various struc tural speci fi ca tions for construction, struc tural steel work, struc tural fabrication / construction, instal lation & tie-ins, etc
Ability to comprehend onshore and offshore contracts’ technical requi re ments, thoroughly review client-supplied basis of design, scope of work, etc.
and provide technical inputs to projects’ bid proposals.
Compe tence in verifying, addressing and issuing out engineering technical clari fi cation to clients on specific areas impacting on bi-direc tional contractual obligations
During Technical Bid Evaluation, should have ability to review struc tural requi re ments on bid submis sions as well as techni cally evaluate bid responses from ILF’s vendor or on behalf of client
Commis sioning and start-up assis tance is an advantage.
COREN Certi fi cation is an advantage.
Experience in both onshore and offshore design is an advantage.
Construction and site super vision experience is an advantage.
Qualification
Minimum 10 years of cognate experience in Civil / Struc tural Design Engineering Consulting in the relevant sector.
Academic Education to BS level minimum for the relevant Engineering Discipline.
Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of Staad Pro (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of SACS (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
