HR Manager has overall responsibility for the HR function as it relates to all team members, including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, development, implementation and administration of human resources programs and employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workers compensation.

The HR Manager performs work on the application of employment, laws and regulations and employment policies in the contexts of hiring, discipline, employment termination, training, compensation, benefits, leave, equal opportunity and other human resources issues.

In addition, the HR Manager deals with the Federal Government agencies and Lagos State agencies in relation to our office and staff.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records, including personnel action forms, timesheets, contracts, and consultant agreements
  • Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks / projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
  • Compile and analyze complex information, and research and develop solutions to complex issues
  • Accurately follow verbal and written directions from senior management
  • Regional role includes the supervision of GHANA HR Dept, activities, reporting and record keeping.
  • Global HR reporting, system update (SAP, COMEET or others)
  • Recommend, develop, interpret and clarify personnel procedures and policies
  • Conduct research regarding employment issues, benefits, workers compensation and personnel procedures and, working with Administration, apply the conclusions to personnel policies and practices
  • Assist in hiring, including developing job descriptions and job advertisements, and screening and interviewing candidates
  • Develop, implement and manage a centralized recruiting process
  • Follow the payroll process and maintain confidentiality
  • Participate to various employment fairs. Also join on a yearly basis one or two conference about Nigeria HR environment, law or related matters.
  • Implement Global HR policies, activities.
  • The HR Dept also manages Generators and Fuel supply; the Maintenance team, the office environment within and outside our compound,
  • The office cleaners are to be controlled and guided accordingly.
  • Leads the company‚Äôs yearly negotiation with the Unions (both Senior and Junior), both Local, Internal and at a National level
  • Participate to meetings with Unions, representing the company and subject to an agreed mandate
  • Finalize and sign agreements on behalf of the company
  • Leads company compliance with all existing Federal Governmental, State Governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to Health Administration and so forth
  • Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws and regulations. Approves all information submitted.
  • Together with the M.D, serves as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney.

  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. Minimizes risk
  • Requirements

    Education and Experience

  • Higher education , Knowledge in HR Management or related discipline
  • 3-5- years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, conflict resolution
  • Languages : Excellent English (written and oral)
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
  • Nigerian Nationality, preferred with 5 years experience from service industry, must have worked as HR assistant manager or equivalent in the last position
