Scope of Work

TechnoServe Nigeria, works with donors to implement projects in various locations across, the North, South and Western states of Nigeria.

Reporting to the Deputy Country Director (DCD) and working closely with the operations and project team, the Program Associate will be responsible for making sure that these projects are provided with required logistics, procurement, administrative and program related support.

While this role can work remotely, there maybe possibilities of travels, though minimal.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

In addition to the general duties described above, specific duties and responsibilities include the following :

  • In collaboration with the relevant units and projects, coordinate and manage logistics for internal and external meetings, workshops and other program activities as needed;
  • Support the project leads in coordinating project closeout activities and may be required to the lead on delivering a few of these activities developing communication material, project fact sheets and so on.
  • Together with the project leads, track, harmonize and provide updates on project events to ensure there are no overlaps and ensure that the project director is aware of all key activities.
  • Assist the DCD to send out routine communication to staff and external stakeholders;
  • Assist in preparation of status and progress reports by gathering information and other inputs, prepare tables, charts and draft sections of it as required.
  • Attend meetings, draft minutes and ensures timely approval and distribution;
  • Draft routine correspondence and proofread materials in English, applying effective proofreading and grammar skills;
  • Proactively remind the DCD and technical leads of future project events / meetings and workshops and manage the DCD’s calendar;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3-5years of experience carrying out related tasks with a donor funded project in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving skills and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to develop well written, cohesive analyses and reports
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategy skills
  • Experience in developing compelling Power Point presentation and infographics is required.
  • Ability to apply innovative thinking approaches to problem solving is desirable.
  • Time Frame

    This consultancy is for an initial period of Three (3) months to deliver on these tasks as mentioned above with possibilities of an extension.
