Job Description
Manage and administer Linux servers and database instances on all critical servers for optimal performance and high availability
Facilitate Replication / Backup and Restore of data on all critical database servers for high availability to all applications
Proactively identify and resolve database-related hitches / issues
Facilitate installation, configuration and implementation of database servers
Support the software development process through database implementation activities
Requirements and Skills
B.Sc Degree in a Computer discipline or relevant certification
Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
Familiarity with programming languages API
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
