Control Risks has a position to fill to cover Nigeria and the broader West African region. Based in our Lagos office, the analyst will have a leading role in covering political, security and business-relevant issues in Nigeria and will be part of a team focused on Sub-Saharan Africa within the Global Risk Analysis department.
They will also work closely with other Nigeria-focused colleagues, particularly those in our Lagos and London offices.
Our analysts are country specialists with backgrounds in the political risk industry, academia, journalism, government and international organisations.
Our analysis is delivered to clients through subscription products and in bespoke consulting engagements that showcase our expertise and demand outstanding communication skills.
We commonly advise clients on topics such as threats to security and stability, election outcomes, levels of corruption, government engagement strategies or policymaking in key economic sectors.
The successful candidates will have a passion for and deep knowledge of Nigeria. They will be highly educated with excellent writing and presentation skills, and access to well-placed sources.
Willingness to travel and an ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices are vital.
