Our client is a platform for food factories and a logistics firm focused on oil produce. The client is supported and funded by AfDB and various multinational investment firms.
They now have an opening for a Industrial Electrician - Akwa Ibom Job Profile The Industrial Electrician will oversee the installation, repairs and maintenance of electrical systems in all business sites.
The incumbent will also lead the testing of existing electrical installations and advise on upgrade or replacement. Reports to : Maintenance Manager Dotted Line Report : VP - OU Operations Direct Reports : None Key Responsibilities
Lead or drive the design of new electrical systems and / or redesign of existing ones.
Lead installation of new electrical systems / equipment.
Troubleshoot and fix problems with electrical systems.
Repair and maintain existing electrical equipment.
Keep accurate and updated log and records of repair and maintenance activities.
Coach the Electrical Technicians and build their capability.
Test and validate new electrical supplies from vendors, ensuring the right equipment are
purchased and are of required specifications and in good shape.
Proactively develop initiatives to prevent downtime from electrical faults.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and / or equivalent.
4+ years of experience working with electrical systems in a production environment.
2+ years working experience with automated systems / machinery.
Must have outstanding knowledge of problem solving methodologies.
Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical faults (electrical motors,panels, circuits, etc).
Experience in design of intelligent circuits and panels to reduce overload on the overall system..
Must be able to build failsafes and instrumentation
Ability to design, interpret and use electric diagrams.
Demonstrable ability to design and construct electrical panels from scratch.
Must be comfortable working in a team.
