The position is for a Technical Manager with at least 10 years of experience to serve as an electro mechanical technician / rewinder lead and supervisor.
The Technical Manager will lead a team of electro mechanical technicians and trainees. The manager must be able to lead and educate a team of service technicians and electro mechanical rewinders and machinists of varying skill levels.
The technical manager will have prior experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician and as an Electric Motor Rewinder / Winding Technician.
The Technician will repair electric motors, pumps, gear boxes, generators, and related electro / mechanical devices and equipment Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate cause and correction Diagnose failure modes & recommend corrections Examines coil connections to detect imperfections Tests coils, armatures, stators, rotors, and field coils for continuity, shorts, and grounds and insulation resistance Cleans and resurfaces parts, commutators and machine parts to specified tolerances Essential Electric Rewinding Job Duties and Skills Required : Will be required to learn and perform our motor stripping process Inspection and disassembly may be required to determine cause of failure Perform diagnostic electrical testing Confirms all winding data is current and accurate and current Documents best practices Reviews wiring diagrams and work orders to determine winding specifications Cuts, shapes, size insulating materials and wire cables or connections.
Cleaning, filing and deburring prior windings Monitors wire counters, machinery and wiring equipment to adhere to our quality standards and processes May require lifting up to 50 pounds with proper equipment and lifting technique Ability to read schematics and diagrams as well as read, write and comprehend the English language Must have the ability to read, write and apply mathematic calculations using metrics, U.
S. standard units of measure; addition, multiplication, division, distance and ruler measurements Fork lift and crane experience compulsory To add, the necessary individual will be familiar with specifically Coetz Technologies Raised Belt Balancing Machines, Phenix Technologies AC, DC motor test systems with a wide range of voltage classes for performing core loss testing on stators, rotors and armatures, Whitelegg range of electric motor and coil winding equipment including digital surge tester, electric testing console, heavy duty coil rewinding machine and other accessories and other similar equipment.
Must have certification for above equipment. Disassemble, assemble and test motors for specified performance Performs alignment of parts, shafts, gears and others during and after assembly · Repairs or replaces defective parts as well as clean and lubricate Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language, apply advanced mathematic calculations using American and Metric units of measure Performs service calls and various duties as requested
