INRM is seeking a Senior Survey Coordinator for the baseline of the TSIRO activity. The Survey Coordinator will work closely with the data collection subcontractors to ensure the quality of data collection throughout the evaluation.
This position has an estimated LOE of 35 days.
Please note : This is a local position. Only candidates with Madagascar citizenship will be considered.
Provides guidance on technical and quality assurance matters to data collection partner during preparation, training, and data collection
Works closely with the data collection subcontractor to plan and manage the data collection; ensuring that the organizational structure of the data collection subcontractor will be sufficient to manage and implement data collection according to protocol.
Supports INRM in developing training manual and survey instrument for household survey, particularly advising on tailoring tools for local context.
Ensures the data collection subcontractor has recruited and hired qualified personnel for managing and conducting the data collection.
Oversees the work of the in-country Survey Monitor to ensure that this individual is well-trained and committed to overseeing the data collection activities for quality assurance.
Supports INRM in producing the Baseline Report, particularly advising on interpretation of results
An undergraduate degree in a social science discipline, preferably in a field related to agriculture or rural livelihoods.
A higher degree is preferred.
Eight years of experience managing large-scale survey field work in developing countries, preferably involving measurement of agricultural and livelihood outcomes.
Experience with natural resource management is a plus.
Understanding and experience with established data collection approaches for agriculture and livelihood outcomes, including understanding of prior and existing survey work in Madagascar
Experience hiring, training, and overseeing field supervisors and enumerators.
Experience coordinating field logistics, schedules, and equipment.
Ability to work in English preferred
