Job Title : Technical Assistant

Location : Surulere, Lagos.

Reports to : The CEO

About Company : Our client runs a pan-African payment platform that enables all types of businesses process fast, continuous, and secure online and offline payments.

The company is seeking to hire a qualified Technical Assistant with a legal background that must be able to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

One who is creative and enjoys working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission and results driven and has the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations.

Also with a strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Also, he or she must be able to work independently on projects, from conception to completion,

Key Responsibilities shall include but not limited to the followings :

Legal :

  • Provide legal advice to the management and analyze the risks while signing new business deals;
  • Review contracts and agreements and see to it that they comply with the legal norms;
  • Drawing up contracts and other legal documents;
  • Advise the executives and employees on changes to the laws affecting the company;
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance;
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations;
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues;
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights;
  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and clients;
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization;
  • Operational :

  • Act as a gatekeeper and or a gateway, creating win-win situations for direct access to the CEOs time and office.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CEO’s office, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO’s office and internal departments.
  • Work closely and effectively with the CEO to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
  • Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the Company and keeping the CEO updated.
  • Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects for the CEO, some of which may have organizational impact.
  • Edits and completes first drafts for written communications to internal and external stake holders
  • Assist with special projects; designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations; collecting and preparing information for meetings with staff and outside parties;
  • composing and preparing correspondence; maintaining contact lists; making travel arrangements; and completing expense and mileage reports.

  • Manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and discretion especially decisions directly impacting the global operations of the company.
  • Prepare Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects and other documents in support of objectives for the organization.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence for internal announcements, board meetings, and organizations that the executive is involved with.
  • Represent the company and the Executive in a positive light through great follow-through skills and sound judgment.
  • Conserve the CEOs time by reading, researching, collecting and analyzing information as needed, in advance.
  • Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a legal discipline, an MBA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant to a CEO or similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and donors
  • Expert level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer / client service and response
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Ability to conduct research and present data in a succinct and well-written manner.
  • Excellent time-management, and problem-solving skills.

    N350, 000.00 to N500, 000.00 monthly net + other benefits.

    Requirements
