DAI is currently accepting applications from senior candidates for the long-term position of Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated education program in Jordan.

Experts with at least 10 years of experience in some or all of the following areas are encouraged to apply :

  • Pre-service education training, structures, and content
  • Institutional reforms in education, particularly those at the higher education level
  • Designing and leading a teacher training program
  • Faculty training and development
  • Education systems change
  • Curriculum development
  • Accreditation and quality assurance
  • Development and institutionalization of education policies and national systems / structures
  • Integration and standardization of teacher training policies, licensing, and performance standards
  • Stakeholder coordination in the higher education sector, including with relevant ministries, universities, and other national actors
  • Requirements

  • Advanced degree (master’s or higher; PhD or Ed.D. preferred) in a relevant field (such as education, academic administration, educational policy, etc.
  • from an accredited university

  • At least 10 years technical experience in area of expertise
  • At least 7 years of progressive management and leadership experience on international donor funded projects
  • Experience in Jordan highly preferred; in the MENA region, required
  • Experience implementing international donor programs in the education sector required; USAID experience highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral - in English required; Arabic preferred
