Role Summary

This role is responsible for providing leadership to the Investment management function of the company and for setting the Investment strategies for the Funds managed by FSDH Asset Management Limited.

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Investment Management Team in the management and optimisation of the client, mutual fund and proprietary portfolios.
  • Lead the development of strategies to maximise returns for portfolios. Implement agreed-upon investment strategies and manage the funds ensuring strict adherence to their governing documents, asset allocations, risk profile, regulations and internal limits and policies.
  • Develop and execute new products and manage existing ones to ensure continual growth of AUMs in line with the Firm's strategy.
  • Liaise with clients and ensure regular feedback is provided in relation to the performance of their portfolios. Lead Investment Policy statement and client portfolio reviews.
  • Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place for the operational, financial, regulatory and risk management, of all investment-related activities.
  • Assume primary responsibility for the adherence of the Investment team to all internal policies, regulations and requirements including reporting.

  • Participate in and report to governance and oversight committees including Fund and Board Investment committees and management committees.
  • Propose and co-approve investment strategies and decisions.

  • Market Research and Analysis : Oversee research and analysis to identify new investment opportunities and risks to portfolios.
  • Such research would include uncovering global and local macroeconomic trends, analysing various financial instruments etc.

  • Manage Portfolio Performance : Develop portfolio performance benchmarks and targets based on factual market information on an annual basis, or at any other frequency interval requested.
  • People Management : Staff development through coaching and on the job training, drive and sourcing, employee engagement, talent management, and people development.
  • IC Responsibilities : Make presentations to the funds' Investment Committee as required.
  • Key Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university.
  • At least 12 - 15 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of CFA Chartered Holder 2 or a similar investment qualification
  • Head, Investments or Chief Investment officer at an asset management firm or a Pension Fund Administrator + experience in a treasury function would be a plus
