Develop systems to ensure that Training Needs Analysis is standardised and uniformly applied across the company.
Work with Senior Managers and Projects team to anticipate future requirements and direction and have plans in place and develop the required skills in the existing workforce to meet the needs of the business as it changes and develops.
Ensure resources and mechanisms for sharing materials developed are in place to ensure Lead Operators (who will be the front line trainers) can train.
Ensures the safety culture element is incorporated into all training documentation and ensure that transfer is effective to improve safety the standards within the factory.
Support any safety initiatives as required and suggest any improvements.
Owns the agenda for technical training and documentation quality across the organisation
Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.
Assess employees’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
Establish a vision for the current and future development of the training and capacity building portfolio through proactive and innovation.
Development and implementation of a strategy, operational plans and budgets for the company’s training services in line with the company’s overall strategic framework.
Ensure targets are communicated and KPIs are met or exceeded with the resources available.
Track competence of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve objectives through robust performance management processes.
Take timely action to address poor performance.
Develop a training budget, control costs and drive improvement in terms of training materials, labour, productivity, of their direct reports.
Ensure and measure training value for money.
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Ensure all HR training records and update employee folders (physical and electronic copies).
Ensure periodic workforce training reports are sent to the management.
BSc / BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or any relevant field
Minimum of 5 years’ post NYSC experience working in this role or a similar role
Membership of a relevant professional body; CIPM, HRCI, CIPD or SHRM
Masters level qualification in a relevant discipline including but not limited to international development, training or education, e-learning, cross cultural learning and management
Outstanding managerial skills

Proficiency in MS Office and database software
Practical and up-to-date knowledge of Labour law regulations and best practices
Practical knowledge of all HR functions
High degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion is essential
