The Automation Tester will be tasked with designing and writing test automation scripts, using test automation frameworks, investigating problems in software as a result of testing, and working with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions.
You will be responsible for :
Reviewing requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed
Developing appropriate test automation tools and applying the latest techniques
Using risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various Software Cafeteria products
Capturing and reusing automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects.
Identifying the implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
Working with the DevOps team to create and maintain an automated build verification ( smoke ) test.
Ensuring proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
Researching and documenting bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem.
Updating test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly scheduled test status updates.
Tracing test cases and results back to specific quality risks.
Assisting in the creation of test project status reports and metrics and providing accurate estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.
Participating in tester interviews and mentoring the Testing team
Providing technical guidance to junior-level test engineers to assist the Test Automation Engineer.
You have at least 2 years experience in Test Automation using Selenium / QTP, ideally within a startup or a remote team
You have experience in programming languages, such as Java, PHP
Experience in Gherkins, Selenium and Springboot microservices will be advantageous
You possess mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
You have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
You are a strong team player who is able to facilitate input from individuals in different roles
You have experience working in an agile environment
You are able to comprehend and follow web security best practices
You are able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
You possess excellent time management with the ability to work in a fast-paced enviornment
