ACCOUNTS / ADMIN OFFICER
The Candidate will play a key role overseeing the Accounts and Operations function, providing exceptional accounting, operations and administration services to the company.
You will be responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements with Disclosures and other ad-hoc financial information.
You will take ownership and respond to Client / Investor queries promptly. Using your own judgment to highlight any significant finds and put forward any recommendations to help us find an appropriate solution.
It is essential that you follow the correct processes and procedures to help us ensure we are compliant with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures.
You will need to have a curious mind and use your initiative to identify any risks or concerns ensuring you report them in a timely manner.
Every day brings a new challenge so you’ll need to be a team player at heart, with an eye for detail, great organisational skills so you can prioritise your day and sometimes with conflicting deadlines that still need to be met.
Responsibility / Duties :
Execution of transactions and resolve problems with record-keeping, accounting, trade platforms with minimal supervision.
Serve as a point of contact between internal and external personnel eg Banks, Vendors, Brokers, and Regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with sales team to draft new business contract in accordance with internal policies which meets clients needs.
Maintain accurate clients and vendors data.
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit / loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Manage office supplies stock and place orders
Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets
Maintain and update company databases
Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
Answer queries by employees and clients
Update office policies as needed
Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
Book meeting rooms as required
Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. letters, emails and packages)
Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
Arrange travel and accommodations
Schedule in-house and external events
Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role
Solid knowledge of office procedures
Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
HND Business Admin / HND Accounting or any Other Degrees; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus
