BRPH is a full service Architectural / Engineering firm specializing in state-of-the-art facility design is looking for a Senior Architectural Designer located at our Lockheed Martin Facilities office in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Senior Architectural Designer assists architects in application of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural technology by performing the following duties :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
Attends client meetings.
Assists in the analysis of data received by others to plan and design projects.
Prepares design computations and applies architectural fundamentals.
Performs design or portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under direction of Project Architect, or other responsible staff members.
Understands and utilizes architectural technical terminology.
Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and permits for projects.
Perform site / field investigations to collect data for architectural assignments.
May instruct and supervise daily tasks of drafts-persons and Designer I and II.
Provide advice, guidance and mentoring for drafting and architectural designer staff.
Provide technical support to other staff in area of expertise.
Performs advanced CADD drafting on a regular basis to produce designs into non-routine final drawings.
Be able to visualize from two dimension to three dimension.
Ability to produce drawings in three dimension.
Produces designs and drawings from vendor’s and manufacturer’s catalog and technical data.
Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined in Systems Manual Volume II.
Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretation.
Prepare discipline specifications for design projects.
Perform checking of one’s own work and work prepared by drafters and architectural designers.
Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline’s drawings and specifications.
Promote communications, cooperation, and quality among staff.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school / GED diploma and 7 years experience
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 6 years related experience
BS degree and 4 years experience.
Must be proficient in AutoCad and MicroStation in calculation of dimensions and distances
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
