Every year, 4 billion products from our client are consumed throughout the African continent. Our client is actively present in Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, CIS Republics, in 30 countries in Africa and the Middle East.
They currently have an opening for a Logistics & Planning Manager (Lagos)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for :
Supervising and developing the Planning and Logistics Team .
Correct execution of our client's S&OP model in the different locations.
Coordinating the production plans with the factories and co-packers within Africa region.
Coordinating and give visibility to the Business Units Management and to the Operations Management to establish key priorities, warnings, agreeing on contingency plans and coordinating the supply chain with the business needs at a short and long term.
Ensuring the service level in all markets according to the guidelines of stocks agrees with the company.
Coordinating the Planning Budgeting process for Africa region.
Coordinating the international traffic Import / Export with Africa following the governmental regulations to import / export both in origin and destination.
Coordinating the end to end process of import / export from the purchase order and planning with vendors, the booking and planning of the shipments with the transport operators and the delivery to the final destination, ensuring the efficiency of the process on time and cost
Working with the Customs Agents, shipping companies, Forwarding, Logistics Operators and Certification / Export companies.
Solving issues and following up on the efficiency of the process.
Management of dispatches, import authorizations and custom processes.
Goods classification (TARIC), calculation on rights and indirect taxes. Advising on international trade and icoterm evaluation.
Verifying and controlling the vendors accounts on the services and the management of the invoices to secure the correct payment and cost.
Import and Export budget in coordination with the Corporate functions.
High analytical skills, problem solving skills, flexibility and Leadership skills.
Work under pressure and complex situations, people management, pro-activity, high sense of accountability, used to work on multinational and multicultural environments.
10 years of experience in an FMCG company in a similar role
High knowledge on International trade and sea transportation
Master’s degree in Operations
High level of English, French will be very valued
Experience with SAP and APO
