To assist with running the Warehousing / Logistics function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Timely preparation of import documentation and authorization for local customs for all air and sea shipments locally.
Ensuring the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices and AWBs
Organising all shipments in line with company requirements
Check goods inwards from suppliers and worksites
Locate stock into designated areas.
Pick items for shipping.
Coordinate cycle count and stock taking when required.
Prepare items for shipment to worksites.
Book out equipment / spares to workshop personnel and to job sites.
Participate in weekly 5S audits when required.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuously improving your working area through 5S activity.
SafetyEnsure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
OtherCarry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
This position is considered Shop / Outdoors which is characterized as follows.
Almost exclusively indoors within Warehouse during the day and occasionally at night.
Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place.
Work surface is stable (flat).
