Our client, a quoted manufacturing company based in Lagos is looking to employ the services of a Financial Analyst, who will be responsible for tracking the company's financial performance against the plan, analysing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.

Qualification and Requirements

  • First degree in in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or any other related field
  • A member of ICAN / ACCA (CFA is an added advantage)
  • Minimum of five (5) years proven experience in related field or similar position, especially in large manufacturing and / or FMCG firms
  • High proficiency in Advanced Excel, Financial Modelling, Power Point and report writing skills Ability to identify financial risks - particularly funding, liquidity, foreign exchange and those that are Investment related and report on working capital levels.
  • Responsibilities :

    The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing the following duties and other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time :

  • Prepare daily bank reconciliation for all the company’s bank account.
  • Prepare daily weekly monthly bank balance reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of cash allocation reports.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cash flow reports.
  • Prepare financial reports for new initiatives to aid management in decision making.
  • Prepare monthly loan balance reports for all the banks.
  • Assist in the Prepares financial forecast of the business.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
  • Ensure that all interest, principal and fees are paid as at when due.
  • Monitor cost of debt periodically and report on variances.
  • Carry out any other jobs that may from time to time be assigned by the Head, Corporate Finance.
  • Collate and prepare the company’s annual budget.
  • Assist in developing capital and financial planning strategies for policy recommendations.
  • Provide budgetary control and analysis to departments on an on-going basis.
  • Compile data based on statistical studies and analysis of past and current years to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
