  • Set BB growth targets for the Business Banking Sales and ensure that they achieve these targets and sell in a professional manner, through regular monitoring and coaching.
  • Regularly give feedback to the Team Lead on new and anticipated financial and service needs and recommend appropriate improvements to the process or new products, to meet the new challenges.
  • Contribution to the formulation of the sales and portfolio management strategy.
  • Monitoring performance and taking appropriate remedial action
  • Embedding sales governance and sales management principles across the regionSales & Service Management
  • Achieve BB Client Sales growth of Revenues, Assets, Liabilities & Profits
  • Ensure that sales and distribution strategies is aligned with Group model
  • Liaise with delivery channels and operational areas to ensure quality services to clients in the segmentProcess & Governance
  • Ensure effective and efficient operations without sacrifice on control and service quality. Continually look at the opportunities for process improvement
  • Ensure that effective arrangements are in place within Business Banking Sales team and in the Channels for prevention of money laundering and to protect the business against other operational risks in line with the Group Policy and Standards, Regulatory Guidelines and Local Legal requirements
  • Embedding a Sales Governance Culture Sanction of Annual Plans and Strategic direction
  • Annual reviews of Plans and self- certification
  • Ensure standards are in place to manage mis-selling and client complaints
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

  • Ensure compliance with the process for bid submission.
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
  • The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility
  • Ensure you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’s efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to : identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers.

  • A graduate qualification with completion of mandatory NYSC
  • MBA is an added advantage
  • Any requisite technical skills gained through professional associations and practical experience.
  • Sound knowledge of bank operations and product management
