POSITION SUMMARY :
The Cost Accountant is responsible for compiling, reviewing and analyzing profitability of client programs in partnership with operational and finance leadership for assigned business units.
In this role, the Accountant leads key processes such as budget to actual analyses, revenue trending and profitability forecasting.
In addition, the role provides the opportunity to perform other specialized corporate accounting functions.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Experience within client service industry a plus.
Minimum of two years of related work experience.
Advanced Excel skills, complemented by strong understanding and proficiency with accounting systems.
Ability to apply analytical thinking and ability to communicate this thinking to others in an understandable fashion.
Ability to master job cost accounting concepts.
Ability to learn quickly, be resourceful and conduct daily tasks independently and in a proactive manner.
Ability to build rapport and collaborate with all team members, internal sales team and internal customers.
Excellent time management, strategy and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of displaying a sense of urgency, sense of ownership and a sense of accountability.
Ability to help lead the company toward more automated processes.
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department and the company.
Ability to act as a member of a team and provide back-up to other members.
