The Role

The Territory Manager, Nigeria (TM) will be responsible for new school growth across Nigeria. The TM will work closely with the key strategic leadership in the region to help build a region-wide growth strategy that aligns with our territory expansion, market penetration and segmentation objectives for new and existing schools.

The core focus of this role is to grow Cambridge's market share, primarily schools, within Nigeria in line with the country strategy and plans.

An aspect of this role will be to provide oversight of the performance of schools in the assigned territory, evaluate performance by schools and collaborative work with schools to improve performance and uptake of Cambridge subjects and services at existing Schools.

This is a permanent position, and you will be reporting to the Senior Development Manager, West Africa and based in Accra, Ghana.

What you'll be doing

Conduct regular joint business planning with all teams, develop short-term tactical actions, and long-term objectives to support the acquisition of new and the development of existing Cambridge schools in the region.

You will work closely with our key associate in Nigeria (The British Council).

Implement an on-boarding programme for new Cambridge schools in collaboration with colleagues from various departments.

Increase adoption of Cambridge schools support that can lead to improved performance including but not limited to print and digital resources, Test Maker, School Improvement Services, Resource Plus, Formative Assessments, CEM and training services.

Ensure the Cambridge School offer is well understood by new Cambridge schools in the territory, recommending products and programs that provide an opportunity for schools to improve or enhance their Cambridge offer.

Work closely with the Schools Development team.

Conduct School Approval Visits as needed and represent Cambridge at events such as exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, make presentations as required.

What we are looking for

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's Degree

Must have a valid drivers' licence and own vehicle (business travel will be reimbursed at rates as advised from time-to-time)

Skills

Sales in an educational field

Working understanding of Cambridge preferably at the high school level

Ability to present to small / large groups about the Cambridge programme

Ability to become a trusted advisor to Cambridge schools and Associates

Desirable :

Knowledge of information, technology and communication systems

Teaching experience, preferably at a senior school

Experience

Experience in a sales or related role working in the educational industry

Experience and understanding of education sales and / or development

Management of senior level stakeholder relationships e.g., with Principals, Head of Departments

Teacher Support, academic improvement in an educational context

Familiarity with the education systems in the region

Behaviours

Working Pattern

Typically, we are slower during the school holidays and during the exam period.

Regular travel is expected within the territory of Nigeria.

This post is homebased in Port Harcourt, Cambridge will supply the necessary equipment and support.
