Amyris is a science and technology leader in the research, development, and production of sustainable ingredients for the Clean Health & Beauty and Flavors & Fragrances markets.
We seek a hands-on Product Owner to join the Amyris Digital Team, which manages website development and related technology and back-office infrastructure for our no compromise consumer brands.
Responsibilities
Drive product requirements gathering, documentation, and execution through smart-decision making, analysis, strong planning, and oversight
Champion Agile methodologies and be a key owner of backlog prioritization working with the senior product leadership team and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Participate in sprint ceremonies, daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and grooming sessions
Execute short- and long-term product launches and improvements to support bringing infrastructure and digital platforms to their full potential
Create project plans for managing and tracking roadmap delivery
Analyze data, functionality, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for enhancements
Translate product strategy and work cross-functionally to write detailed requirements and use cases for new products, features, enhancements, and opportunities to ensure the stability of our infrastructure and to accelerate growth
Analyze data to unearth issues and propose enhancements and communicate delivery updates to various stakeholders
Work collaboratively with internal partners and external vendors to drive product launches and enhancements
Oversee and execute evaluations of third party platforms, tools, and services
Collaborate with project owners to define the scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact, budget, and available resources
Effectively communicate requirements to software engineers and ensure they are being met, resolving issues back upstream with business stakeholders
Assess and validate prototypes and perform acceptance testing on final delivery
Own internal sprint planning and resource allocation of the technical team for one or more brands
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
Lead QA and troubleshooting efforts, personal plus leveraging QA personnel
Identify risks and proactively prepare risk mitigation plans
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, and in partnership with business stakeholders, identify and fill product gaps and support the generation of new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Main requirements
3+ years experience in website Software Product Management or comparable experience
Solid technical background with understanding and / or h ands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Solid understanding of digital technology and basic UX principles
Ability to analyze data, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with software developers, business users, cross-functional partners and vendors, and other outside partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Agile Scrum , project tasking tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana)
Experience working with project tasking tools (e.g., JIRA ).
Good understanding of the leading eCommerce ecosystems
