Job Objectives

To establish and ensure maintenance of internal control standards in our business and corporate activities. To ensure strict compliance with all external regulation and adherence to internal procedures and processes

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review General Ledger / Subsidiary ledgers and related accounting reports for accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor regulatory returns for prompt and accurate submission
  • Co-ordinate the efforts of external / statutory auditors
  • Perform ad-hoc investigative function
  • To assess the adequacy of controls established by management to manage business risks
  • To make recommendations on processes for assessing and controlling business risks at all levels of the organization
  • To ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources
  • To ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (SEC, NSE, EFCC, NDLEA, CBN)
  • To ensure the implementation of policies adopted by the management and board
  • To ensure the existence of good corporate governance in the organization
  • To assess and make recommendations on business risk management and controls
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MD / CEO.
  • Education Requirement

  • A good university degree, preferably in a finance or business related discipline
  • MBA / ACA / ACCA Certification is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the Trustee, Asset Mgt or Financial services industry. Must also be a Registered Compliance officer with SEC.
