If so, then please keep on reading. We are looking for a Treasury Analyst who will work in Nigeria and be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the books and the preparation of financial statements.

The Treasury Analyst will also be responsible for reliable compliance with PMI procedures and local GAAP standards and Ad Hoc reporting.

Read further if you want to learn what the main responsibilities of the role are : This position aims to cover essentially the coordination of account payable in compliance with PMI requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES Accountability 1 : Group ReportingReview (and provide assistance to IBS / CoE) the balance sheet and working capital forecasts (OB / RF) and Actuals (AC) and any Treasury Reporting under Affiliate Responsibility in compliance with PMI requirements.

  • This requires at least to : Provide assumptions (market specifics) to IBS / CoE to prepare Balance Sheet / Working Capital forecast (data collection, business events or drivers);
  • Analyze and validate the consistency and accuracy of the assumption’s prior submission to IBS / CoE;Review the accuracy of the forecast prepared by IBS / CoE prior final validation by Affiliate Head of Finance and system input;
  • Report / escalate to line Manager any major deviations, facts or insights identify during the forecast preparation and review process;
  • Review the actuals variances and report to IBS / CoE any majors business drivers to capture in the reports; Cashflow projection and tracking in conjunction with IBS treasuryPrepare / Review and submit any other PMI reports under Affiliate Treasury responsibility;
  • Accountability 2 : Treasury Support activities & Balance Sheet Accounts follow upThis accountability covers essentially part of the administrative activities that require Market involvement : Review and validation of customer rebatesPreparation of manual clearing journal entries for customer statementsPreparation of internal memos for credit limit extension to customersReview and tracking of Cheques from credit customersCollect signatures on loan / investment agreements;
  • remit them to the Bank and send back scan-copy to IBS Treasury for processing.Deliver / contribute to any other Treasury activity under Affiliate responsibility.

  • Accountability 3 : Statutory Financial Statement Preparation The preparation and filing of statutory financial statements, implies : Contribute to financial statements preparation in accordance with the schedule and scope assigned by the coordinator (accounts analysis, reclassifications and adjustments posting);
  • Providing documents, analysis and explanation to Internal and External auditors in connection of Treasury matters;Complete the filing of the standard format / template of the financial statements with data, commentaries and submit it to the Line Manager for approval.

  • Accountability 4 : Others reporting & Business supportPrepare & timely submit had hoc reports for external use as well as for internal purpose.
  • This includes : Targeted customers insights report;Suppliers’ creditworthiness evaluation; BCEAO monthly survey filing;ANSD monthly survey filing;
  • Affiliate Treasury dashboard update;Any other internal ad hoc report The Treasury Analyst is also expected to provide any support to the business for Treasury matters, in the frame of projects, Business as usual (routine assistance to employees).

  • Hold a university degree
  • Have at least 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance in a multinational company.
  • Have strong understanding of operational / financial / compliance / IT controls, IT literacy and are digital savvy
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Are collaborative, a team player, customer oriented and a quick learner
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to established timeframes.
  • Able to engage, challenge and influence employees at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrate agility and entrepreneurial spirit, initiate action and lead others to follow
