Summary
The Junior DevOps Engineer is responsible for assisting the software development team in automating deployment processes for software solutions and code repository.
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of our deployment infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
Test implemented designs.
Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
Handle code deployments in all environments.
Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.
Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools with team.
Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
Improve infrastructure development and application development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
1 - 2 years' experience in a similar role preferable in Fintech or Financial Services.
Any of the following certifications is an added advantage : Docker Certified Associate, Puppet certification, Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Attributes :
Demonstrated experience using major DevOps tools.
A good hands-on experience on cloud platform (AWS, and Azure).
Good understanding of basic software security skills.
Good command of automation technologies and tools including CI / CD, continuous testing, app performance monitoring, infrastructure settings and configurations.
Exacting attention to detail, picking up on the details that others miss.
Intellectually curious.
