Job Description

Reporting to : The CEO

About Company : Our client is a fast growing startup dairy company that produces nutritional dairy products from raw milk sourced from local communities in Nigeria.

Job Summary : The main responsibilities for this role will include finance, accounting, audit and tax functions, ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

S / he will be in charge of budgeting, analysis and cash management activities. Also, the role will manage relationships with banks and other financing institution and statutory agencies.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, passionate and committed to working in a faced-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor the company’s financial goals, objectives, and budget.
  • Produce regular and accurate historical and forward-looking financial analyses regarding the company’s performance and report to the CEO.
  • Review and track operational expenses inline with the company’s approved budget.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports financial reports, interpret financial information and recommend courses of action to the CEO.
  • Monitor compliance with laws and regulations by ensuring that legal and regulatory fillings (including PAYE, WHT and Vat tax remittances) are processed promptly.
  • Book Keeping
  • Oversee statutory audits provide audit reports and work with external auditor.
  • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plan.
  • Manage cash and other current assets.
  • Requirements

  • BSc or HND in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in finance, accounting or related role.
  • Relevant Master’s degree, MBA or professional certification / membership (ICAN / ACCA) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance cycles, standards and Nigeria’s tax policy.
  • Understanding of the International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS) and its business application.
  • Proficiency in reputable / dependable accounting software- QuickBooks is a plus.
