This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week.
The Payroll Coordinator supports the payroll process by reviewing payroll inputs, processing payroll and maintaining payroll records in accordance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
The Payroll Coordinator works in conjunction with the Payroll Specialist to update employee records, audit bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of all payroll information.
This role will also receive reports to process commission and bonus payments for employees.
The Payroll Coordinator serves as a point of contact for company employees to answer any payroll related questions.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or Human Resources preferred.
Minimum two years payroll work experience; 3rd party payroll experience preferred.
Knowledge of federal / state laws and regulations relating to compensation and benefit programs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel compensation and benefits information and other human resources issues.
Strong math skills; ability to handle detail-oriented work.
Personal computer experience; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong data entry skills and 10-key aptitude.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and / or meet deadlines.
