Job Description
A restaurant manager ensures the restaurant runs smoothly.They hire and train staff following company policies.In addition restaurant managers speak with customers about any concerns or problems,while also creating work schedules
Responsibilities
coordinating daily restaurant management operations
Delivering superior food and beverage service and ensure customer satisfaction
Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
Organise and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and improvise ways to improve it
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g discounts and social media ads)
Create detailed reports on weekly,monthly and annual revenue and expenses
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Proven work experience as a restaurant manager,restaurant general manager
Extensive food and beverage knowledge,with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers
Familiarity with restaurant management software,like open table etc
Acute financial management skills
BSC degree in business admiistration,hosptatlity management or culinary school is a plus
