Role Summary

This role is responsible for planning and managing assets according to our client's needs and works to beneficially grow their portfolio while minimizing risks.

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve the portfolio management function.
  • Assist in Market Research and Analysis efforts into uncovering both global and local macroeconomic trends, extensive research into various financial instruments, and in-depth review of most publicly traded companies, in order to understand current trends, and forecast future performance, with the aim of applying this knowledge to managing the firms.
  • Assist to Manage Portfolio Performance and Develop portfolio performance benchmarks and targets based on factual market information on an annual basis, or at any other frequency interval requested.
  • Review proposals for investment in quoted equities, bonds, and money market securities.
  • Prepare funds management proposals to current and prospective clients.
  • Asset Allocation Review on a constant basis, the asset allocation of mutual funds to ensure compliance with the trust deeds.
  • Handle reports on investment performance and activity.
  • Research, assess and present portfolio investment actions for approval.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against set benchmarks / targets.
  • Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  • Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of CFA Level 1.
  • At least 4 years of Investment management experience including as a Portfolio or Investment analyst in an Asset Management company or Pension Fund Administrator (PFA)
  • Deep knowledge of equity, fixed income and money markets and asset classes at a minimum.
  • High professional and ethical standards.
