Education and Experience
Highschool diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the human resources, managementoperations, or related professional area; OR

Assisting in Administering and Educating Employee Benefits
Workswith the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims;reviews provider reports for accuracy and corrects errors.
Assistswith unemployment claim activity reports.
Attendsunemployment hearings and ensures property is properly represented, as needed.
Assisting in Managing Employee Development
Assistswith departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriatenew hire training to successfully perform their job.
Ensuresemployees are cross-trained to support successful daily operations.
Assistswith coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program to generatea positive first impression for employees and emphasize the importance of guestservice in company culture.
Ensuresattendance by all new hires and participation of the leadership team intraining programs
Assistswith ensuring departmental orientation processes are in place and employeesreceive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
Assisting in Maintaining Employee Relations
Assistsin maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property (e.g.,develops daily communications and assists with regularly scheduled property-widemeetings).
Reviewsprogressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, and checksfor supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriateaction.
Utilizesan open door policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns in a timelymanner
Ensuresemployee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution orescalated to the Director of Human Resources / Multi-Property Director of HumanResources.
Partnerswith Loss Prevention to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary.
Communicatesperformance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
Assisting in Managing Legal and Compliance Practices
Assistswith ensuring employee files contain required employment paperwork, properperformance management and compensation documentation, are properly maintainedand secured for the required length of time.
Assistswith ensuring compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employeefiles and ensure compliance with the Privacy Act.
Assistswith ensuring medical records are maintained in a separate, secure andconfidential medical file.
Facilitatesrandom, reasonable belief and post accident drug testing process (in propertieswhere applicable).
Communicatesproperty rules and regulations via the employee handbook.
Assistswith ensuring all safety and security policies (e.g., property removal, lostand found items, blood borne pathogens, accident reporting, and hygiene) arecommunicated to employees on a regular basis through orientation, propertymeetings, bulletin boards, etc.
Assistswith periodic claims reviews with Regional Claims office to ensure claims areclosed in a timely manner and reserve levels are appropriate for open claims.
