A leading designer and manufacturer of diesel engines ranging from 55 to 2,700 horsepower and the world’s largest producer of diesel engines above 200 horsepower, is looking for a dedicated individual to lead day-
to-day service delivery activities and support growth initiatives of our Shared Services organization, The company Business Services Africa.
This candidate will have day-to-day shared services responsibilities to support new country and / or new The company consolidated businesses in Africa including the organizational objectives of The company Inc.
He or she will serve as a single point of contact for The company in Nigeria for all services provided. Among other assignments that may be agreed upon from time to time, this candidate will be responsible for :
i) strategic alignment of business services with all company Africa market activities,
ii) development, implementation and support of agreed upon local market service solutions consistent with global policies, processes and technology requirements, and (iii) day-
to-day service delivery and accountability for all Africa activities.
This candidate will have direct responsibility for business services programs and activities that support Africa and the company’s Africa country business objectives, for building stakeholder relationships, improving individual and organizational effectiveness and enhancing customer support services.
The preferred candidate will have :
A minimum 5 years of progressive work experience with a degree and / or diploma equivalent to a Bachelors degree in a relevant or related field (Finance / Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology).
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business service Finance processing hub receives all necessary supporting documentation in order to complete transactions and will liaise with the business and the Finance Service Line managers regarding service delivery issues, practical challenges and provide suggestions for improvement.
The ideal candidate will have general human resources experience and an understanding of benefits processes, payroll, employee engagement and the management of IT infrastructure will be a plus.
The ideal candidate should have a take-charge customer service oriented style, be hands on, a problem solver, have superb people skills and thrive in a dynamic, fast-
paced diverse entrepreneurial environment.
Experience including the management and improvement upon service level agreements is a plus. Prior shared / customer service experience and practical exposure to Six Sigma or related process improvement disciplines are desired.
This individual must have an understanding or ability to understand the different dynamics, cultural values, and practices of the country / countries in which they are responsible.
