Department : Construction & Maintenance
Compensation : NGN 200,000 monthly net
About Company : Our client is a reputable manufacturing and Engineering company located in Marina, Lagos.
Job Summary : The Site Engineer will act as day-to-day manager on company construction projects (on and off-sites), which may include liaising with third-party stakeholders and managing site facilities.
S / he will be responsible for ensuring successful completion of all company project through the organization & supervision of human & material resources on site.
Our ideal candidate should have a proven experience managing project from start to completion.
Responsibilities
Prioritize and schedule jobs for workers / artisans.
Organize and monitor daily operations on-site.
Adhere to the projects time schedule and re-plan as necessary to guarantee that the project is completed on time.
Read and interpret drawings, making required corrections.
To inspect the workers / artisans work for quality.
Ascertain that all employees adhere to the safety policy and laws.
On-site, notify the Project Manager of daily activities and grievances.
Maintain accurate inventory of the purchase of materials and set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
Prepare a weekly and monthly budget on expenditure on the construction site and manage all funds disbursed according to established accounting policies and procedures
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within the budget and required level.
Signing material requisitions.
Supervise the sites cleanliness and condition
Requirements
HND / BSC in Civil or Structural Engineering
Must be a COREN certified Engineer or a registered member of an Engineering Institute / Association
Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including a minimum of two years in a supervising role.
Must be smart, intelligent and well-mannered
Proficiency in design and project management
Technical understanding
Determined work ethic and must be seen to be professional at all times (communication and presentation)
Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Auto Card
