Our client seeks to appoint a Deputy Head Principal, for a two year contract (renewable)

The Primary School is located in the beautiful location of Maitama Abuja, Nigeria. Throughout the curriculum Primary teachers promote SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) aspects of life and promote British / Nigerian Values, such as democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

School :

Primary school situated in the heart of the Central city of Abuja, Nigeria

Classes are between 15-20 children.

British Curriculum

Great facilities : new computer suite, fully equipped science lab .

Assemblies play a huge role in developing SMSC learning.

Both key stages meet daily for an assembly.

Role :

As the Deputy Head, you will work as part of School management Team. Hours : 7h30 16h00

Your role will be to assist the Head of school in leading and managing the school.

This position will be responsible for assisting in formulating and reviewing the School Improvement Plan and the aims and objectives of the school by :

Establishing and enforcing the policies through which they shall be achieved

Leading and managing staff and resources to that end

Monitoring progress towards their achievement.

The post has a clear focus on accurate and timely assessments, data collection, reporting and dissemination as well as taking the lead on teacher assessments

There will be approximately half a term of handover before taking up the post

You will be expected to teach a group of 15 children in the mornings occasionally so teaching subjects of Maths and English is an advantage.

Requirements :

A Bachelor’s Degree or minimum HND Education, PGCE, Business Administration, Organisational Development Leadership or relevant related area.

12+ years’ of professional experience in learning and child development or leadership & management position in a learning institution

A Master’s degree or relevant post graduate degree is an added advantage

Experience in British / Cambridge Curriculum an added advantage
