FUNCTIONAL ROLE :
Perform the following on a monthly basis for all projects of the assigned companies of the ILF Group by using the updated regional project information :
A. Analysis of key perfor mance indicators (KPIs) and their trends, with a special focus on :
actual progress devia tions (actual vs. planned) (on the
basis of planned and reached milestones);
cost devia tions (actual vs. planned);
man-hour devia tions (actual vs. planned); and
risk exposure value.
B. Analysis of monthly comments of project manager (PM) (e.g. area of concerns);
C. Check imple men tation of previously agreed project-specific measures to get back on track;
D. Check appli cation of PM metho do logies in projects (spot-check);
E. Consult with the PM if deemed necessary;
F. In case signi ficant negative devia tions are identified, the concerned managing director (for standard projects of the ILF Group or special projects also the BGD in charge) shall be informed that a project audit is required for this project.
Parti cipate in special project audits (depending on regional requi re ments also in monthly project audits / standard quarterly audits) and consult with MD and PM on :
giving recom men da tions for impro ve ments; and
making sugges tions for a task force to identify and
implement corrective actions.
If requested by the business develo pment project manager, provide support as an advisor for project set-up during the business develo pment phase.
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES :
Respon sible for the prepa ration of all project reports and presen ta tions not limited to Daily Reports, Weekly Reports, Monthly Reports, Steering Committee reports etc
Weekly collation and reporting of all project labour and non-labour costs.
Supporting the prepa ration of in-house cost estimates for engineering, procu rement, fabri cation and construction work scopes.
Developing periodic cash flow forecasts and budget utiliz ation status reports.
Reviewing and approval of requests for Milestone achie ve ments based on defined criteria.
Ensuring timely prepa ration and issuance of Project invoices.
Collating infor mation updates from engineering, procu rement and construction sources on a weekly basis; validate the infor mation and prepare requisite presen ta tions and reports
Collating infor mation updates from engineering, procu rement and construction sources on a weekly basis; validate the infor mation and enter it into the primavera P6 schedule.
Ensuring develo pment of detailed resource loaded project baseline schedule using Primavera P6 software.
Ensuring Schedule develo pment in line with Project Control Plan.
Preparing Progress Measu rement System (PMS) for the project.
Performing schedule analysis as required in each reporting cycle to identify slippages that could negatively impact on project completion milestones and commu ni cated outcome to project team.
Preparing project manpower histogram vis-à-vis schedule and provided updates in each reporting cycle.
Preparing and issue project weekly and monthly schedule status reports with relevant narra tives (Critical Path status, Float Status, Slippage Status, Recovery Status etc )
Preparing and Issuing 2 week schedule project look ahead plans.
Attending progress review meetings.
Ensuring 100% of the project scope is captured within schedule activities to fulfill project objectives.
Evaluating actual progress against planned and provided regular progress updates during execution of projects.
Reviewing and verifying project quantities reporting by checking, comparing & reporting actual quantities against planned quantities on a weekly basis.
Verifying progress on activities using approved rules of credit.
Supporting the Project Controls team on other project controls activities not listed.
Super vising the develo pment of Project Risk Management Plan and struc turing of Project Risk Management System
Ensuring the maintenance of the Project Risk Management System
Super vising the Project Change Management system
Work Experience
Minimum 12 years of experience in relevant sector with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager or 10 years as a Senior Project Engineer on a similar large projects.
Educa tional Qualification
Minimum Quali fi cation B. Sc. In an Engineering Disci pline. A Master’s Degree in an Engineering Disci pline or an MBA would be a consi derable advantage.
