Job Description

CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Program Coordinator to join the CrossBoundary West Africa Advisory team. As a member of the transaction team, you will actively contribute to powerful interventions that have the potential for significant social and economic impact in West Africa, in addition to building CrossBoundary’s long term presence in the region.

CrossBoundary is not a development firm and is not seeking typical development skills. As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for the support of implementation of the ongoing programs or transactions performing a variety of standard operational services within the program or transaction structure ensuring high quality and accuracy.

This will include administrative and operational support to people and projects. Program Coordinator candidates should have 3+ years of experience working in high calibre organizations and experience working as a project manager in developing countries.

  • Primary Responsibilities

  • Program Management Support
  • Provide program and administrative support to the project teams in the preparation of various documents, such as work plans, budgets, reports and proposals
  • Assemble meeting materials and prepare PowerPoint and other presentations for the project team
  • Identify sources, gather and compile data and information for the preparation of documents, guidelines, and other material as required
  • Assist the project team in reviewing and preparing documentation on the procurement of goods and services, and support contract tracking
  • Help the team in providing guidance to the country and project offices on routine implementation of the project, tracking use of financial resources
  • Program Monitoring and Evaluation Support
  • Support project team in the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system and oversee routine program monitoring activities
  • Ensure the quality of M&E related data to be collected throughout the program implementation
  • Document results of the M & E system and produce periodic reports required by clients
  • Administrative Support to the Project Team / Office
  • Provide administrative support to the project team in the organization of events, meetings and workshops, etc.
  • Make travel arrangements for the project team e.g. preparation of travel requisitions and claims
  • Create, organize and maintain filing systems for documents and electronically received information, and ensure up-to-date filing for important and confidential information
  • Respond to email or telephone inquiries from employees and clients
  • Manage office supplies and place replenishment orders
  • Establish and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Liaise with global finance, operations and HR teams for necessary administrative tasks
  • Qualifications

    Ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
  • At least 3 years of practical experience of working in the field of project support / management, administration, finance or other relevant fields
  • Strong applied knowledge and experience in using standard business applications and software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience in producing good quality documents for different audiences and managing information management systems.
  • Proven skills in data management with the ability to collect, analyze and produce good quality data and information
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
  • Location

    The Program Coordinator will be based in Lagos, Nigeria. Frequent travel is expected.
