Job Summary
This role will support the financial controller in financial reporting, budget analysis, Income statement and the management of internal financial processes.
Job Description
Maintain records of financial transactions in order to prepare financial statements and other reports
Ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Ensure that all accounting systems, procedures are in line with the International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standard
Review General Ledger Balance Sheet reconciliations including the Bank Reconciliation
Responsible for the asset management system
Maintain quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Liaise with external auditors / consultants in the preparation of annual audited financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns
Oversee tax audit exercises and follow up with the relevant government agencies
Manage compliance, reporting, and filing
Job Experience
Minimum of HND / B.Sc Finance or Accounting.
Internationally recognized accounting professional qualifications (ACA CPA, ACCA, CMA,)
3 - 5 years' experience, preferably in abig 4 consulting firm
Proficiency with financial ERP platforms; previous experience using Sage is an added advantage.
Advance understanding of double-entry principles
Ability to work collaboratively and manage expectations from different stakeholders.
Intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
