Subordinates : Warehouse Team Leaders, Warehouse Coordinator, Outbound Logistics Coordinator
At least 5 years of proven working experience as a logistics or inventory manager.
Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Determine the appropriate inventory levels in each warehouse location to maximize product availability at the lowest possible cost.
Maintain optimal balance of inventory between warehouse locations through inter-warehouse transfers and DC level forecast corrections.
Utilize historical sales combined with trending data to generate warehouse & distribution plans.
Communicate any service issues related to stock availability and coordinate resolution.
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing & frequency.
Create policies or procedures for logistics activities. Resolve problems concerning warehouse operation, transportation & logistics.
Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives. Negotiate final transportation rates or services.
Supervise the work of Warehouse Coordinator and Outbound Logistics Coordinator. Prepare and liaise for all HSE related matters which includes but not limited to Fumigation, Fire Extinguishers Servicing, GWP, etc.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting & supplies.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
Adherence / Implementation of the S&OP.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints. Supervise, coach and train the team below.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Comply with laws, regulations and HSE requirements. Working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations especially with Customer Service
Timely submission of MIS reports.
Experience of working on ERP system like SAP, etc. Good commercial and business understanding.
Proficient in MS Office package with advance excel & ppt presentation skill
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
Having strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations
Strong leadership talent, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to make Decisions under pressure
Knowledge of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) and Health Safety & Environment (HSE)
