The project Support to the ECOWAS-Commission on Organisational Development provides advisory services to the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), based in Abuja to improve its internal organisational management processes, such as strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, HR and financial management and other cross-cutting topics.

The project is preparing the signature of a European Union co-funded action contributing to the ECOWAS-Commission and the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), based in Lomé / Togo being certified for the direct management of European Union Funds through the pillar assessment methodology process.

One major area of support of this action is to strengthen ECOWAS Commission and EBID capacities to comply with Pillar 1 (Internal Control) of the pillar assessment methodology.

The main focus will be on developing and implementing a code of ethics and to define and implement internal control processes that can be operated with the SAP based module GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance).
