Position Objectives :
Aim to reduce workplace discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender, race and religion.
Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities
Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of PRC.
Works in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.
Adheres to the Security rules and procedures.
Respects and observes the Staff Rules & Regulations of PRC.
The employee may be asked to perform duties and tasks assigned by the management as well as to provide support to other departments if so required.
To read and know the Minimum Standard Commitments on Gender and Diversity in Emergency Programming, and the PRCS Strategic Framework on Gender and Diversity Issues and will complete the Learning Platform course : Different Needs, Equal Opportunities.
To promote gender and diversity awareness amongst all staff, volunteers and senior leaders and to assist in the capacity building of staff and volunteers to incorporate gender and diversity analysis into their daily work.
To further assist in mainstreaming gender and diversity in all the interventions under Health and WASH program
Play active role in order to suggest ways to enhance gender and diversity within the project
To develop and run training or awareness building sessions within existing WASH, Health, DM and other trainings
To liaise with and seek support from the NS Gender Focal Point through email / Skype / Telephonically.
To actively participate and contribute to the working of NS gender focal person at Headquarter level and provide feedback regarding activities updates and priorities.
To develop and strengthen local partnerships with gender and disability organizations.
To engage in peer-to-peer support by providing help to one another
To be informed about opportunities to improve the status of women, girls, boys and men, including funding opportunities, partnership opportunities, and advocacy opportunities.
Masters / 16 years education in Social Science / Management or in relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in development / rehabilitation project in a post conflict situation with at least 2 years Gender specific position
