Uses and is familiar with the Firm’s accounting software systems, manuals and procedures. Prepares the firm’s annual budget and cash flow projections.
Responsible for the statutory deductions of PAYE Tax, Pension, Withholding Tax and VAT, and remittance to the relevant local authorities on a monthly basis.
Assists in the Firm’s debt collection efforts. Ensures receivables are paid in a timely manner.Maintains proper inventory of the Firm’s assets through the Fixed Assets Register.
Prepares the firm’s Partnership Accounts and Management Reports including monthly P & L and Balance Sheet.Undertake profitability analysis to gauge cost effectiveness of business operationsReports to the Practice Manager.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in a supervisory positionMust possess strong analytical skillsMust possess strong managerial and supervisory abilityMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have knowledge of accounting software applications particularly wavesPrevious experience in a Law Firm is an added advantage.
