  • Key Responsibilities Oversees and directs all general accounting functions, including chart of accounts and general ledger, cash receipts and accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, petty cash, bank reconciliation and client trust accounts.
  • Uses and is familiar with the Firm’s financial computer systems, manuals and procedures. Maintains and updates procedural manual as needed.

    Prepares the firm’s annual budget and cash flow projections.Responsible for the statutory deductions of PAYE Tax, Pension, Withholding Tax and VAT, and remittance to the relevant local authorities on a monthly basis.

    Assists in the Firm’s debt collection efforts. Ensures receivables are paid in a timely manner.Maintains proper inventory of the Firm’s assets through the Fixed Assets Register.

    Prepares the firm’s Partnership Accounts and Management Reports including monthly P & L and Balance Sheet.Undertake profitability analysis to gauge cost effectiveness of business operationsActs as back-

    up to the Practice Manager.

  • Qualification and Requirements Must be a Qualified Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in a supervisory positionMust possess strong analytical skillsMust possess strong managerial and supervisory abilityMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have knowledge of financial and accounting software applications;
  • knowledge of the Quick Book is an added advantage.
