In this role you will

  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, refinement and end of life (sundown)
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
  • Practice sustainable incident response
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related with disaster recovery scenarios
  • Responsible for the postmortems process
  • To succeed you need

  • Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software / systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience programming in at least one JVM based language : Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, etc,..
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive
  • Understanding of Unix / Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, container technologies, micro service architectures and the cloud-native technology stack
  • Project experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms
  • Knowledge of relevant AWS services as well as their configuration
  • Solid methodical knowledge in SCRUM and DevOps
