In this role you will
Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, refinement and end of life (sundown)
Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
Practice sustainable incident response
Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related with disaster recovery scenarios
Responsible for the postmortems process
To succeed you need
Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software / systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Experience programming in at least one JVM based language : Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, etc,..
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive
Understanding of Unix / Linux operating systems
Familiarity with distributed systems, container technologies, micro service architectures and the cloud-native technology stack
Project experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms
Knowledge of relevant AWS services as well as their configuration
Solid methodical knowledge in SCRUM and DevOps
