Advisor, Organizational Development (AOD)
The AOD will lead the organizational development of private, public institutions and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in relation to USAID / Nigeria technical and managerial direction.
S / he will coordinate and ultimately be responsible for all capacity strengthening and compliance to policy standards across project partners.
The AOD will provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction for strengthening local partner capacity and ability to access future USAID funding, Strengthening the GON’s capacity to be the steward of the Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) response, leverage Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) and sustainability work of other USG-
supported activities, as well as the work of other development partners and relevant stakeholders, capacity strengthening of local nongovernmental organizations, systems strengthening to facilitate better service delivery, strengthening systems to support country ownership, strengthening the capacity of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH), State Ministry of Health (SMOH), Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (FMWASD), State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (SMWASD), and other key organizations, strengthening local community-
based organizations, engaging and strengthening local research capacity.
She / he will also lead the strengthening of national policies and systems that are essential to HIV / AIDS service expansion and entails training, capacity building of local organizations to improve effectiveness and sustainability, technical assistance in a range of areas, and support in the development of policies and advocacy.
