Job Objectives
To provides technical competence at professional level for developing and implementing information technology initiatives
To support the Chief Information Officer to implement enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development in a collaborative, customer-focused leadership style that works effectively across departments and functions to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and contribute to business and performance objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals.
Provide high quality day-to-day operations of technology and technology-enabled business functions.
Create state of the industry dynamic security practices across the IT department and bank.
Maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the organization’s needs, including information and cybersecurity.
Implement projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems.
Responsible for all functions of personnel management of employees in his unit and able to motivate a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and also for and to the employees that are direct reports and held accountable for their performance.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the exam domain areas of data confidentiality, data integrity, data availability (business continuity planning), vendor management and IT management
Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance and their providers.
Maintain security standards appropriate for the bank’s size and complexity.
Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs.
Education Requirement
Degree in the field of computer science or business administration or 8 years’ experience managing and / or directing an IT operation - familiar with a variety of technology and banking concepts, practices, and procedures
Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development
Excellent understanding of project management principles
Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT
Knowledge
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the financial services industry
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
