As our import & clearing manager you will manage shipments A-Z from various locations worldwide into Nigeria. You will also lead initiatives to improve service levels to existing and new accounts.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Relevant work experience.
2-5 years of work experience.
Previous work experience in Nigeria and / or Africa is an added advantage.
Training, coaching and motivating employees.
Leading change initiatives in the team.
Develop, communicate and improve operational processes within team and handoffs with other branch teams.
Develop solutions for our customers in coordination with account management, product leaders and sales teams as required.
Ensure standard operating procedures for each customer is followed and updated as required.
Review of shipment processing with regards to audit for accuracy of documentation and make corrections.
Assist Sales in compiling quotes (provide rates, tariffs, etc.).
Work with Sales on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Operations.
Monitor proper filing and updating of all departmental records.
Monitor customer credit as per credit release procedures.
Monitor and update shipping run and identify issues for correction.
Ensure highest level of data quality by accurate shipment processing.
Ensure that payable and receivable documents are completed accurately and forwarded on time by staff.
Generate insurance report, collect & submit monthly attendance reports.
Evaluate staff performance on a regular basis.
Ensure KPIs are enforced and met for the department.
Maintain high degree of organization to ensure cargo and documentation deadlines are met.
