Vacancy : Community Mobilization / Partnership Development Officer
Key relationships :
Internally : WEWE Executive Director, State Programme Manager, Head, Internal Audit / Compliance.
Externally : Some interaction with local implementing partners and other stakeholders at the local level.
Direct Reports :
State Team Lead, Director, Partnership Development / Resource Mobilization, DCOP, Director Quality Improvement, Chief of Party.
The Community Mobilization / Partnership Development Officer (CMPD) will lead the planning and executing of community mobilization strategies and identify potential partnership for developing a robust relations with community structures in areas where we work.
The CMPD officer will also take the lead in identifying philanthropic individuals, private companies and associations from which WEWE can develop partnership for resource mobilization and to mobilize communities for buy in to WEWE’s activities.
Coordinate community mobilization and advocacy at the local government and state level to enhance smooth entry for project implementation.
Work closely with team members to identify potential philanthropic individuals and organisation to mobilize resources towards programs aimed at improving lives of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and their Households (HHs).
Maintain efficient database of partners.
Facilitate referral coordination meetings.
Share and acquaint all actors and players with community-specific cultural sentiments and peculiarities and idiosyncrasies capable of promoting or hindering effective service delivery.
Ensure effective communication of all community activities to the Community, Local Government Area, and State actors to promote proper understanding and implementation.
Train members of the Community Improvement Team (CIT), Community Volunteers (CVs) and Community Case Managers (CCMs) on local and community resource mobilization.
Coordinate c ommunity mobilization / partnership
Conduct Quarterly Learning Session on successful c ommunity mobilization / partnership development achievement with other communities, partners, private sector and philanthropic individuals for multiplication and replication.
Follow up on WEWE’s responsibilities on MOU and partnership agreements.
Mapping strategies to mobilize resources within and outside the community.
Identify, report and provide on-the-job Training to Staff, Community Volunteers and Community Case Managers on community mobilization and resource mobilization.
Plan and Organise monthly community sensitization outreaches for project Local Government Area.
Conduct monthly meeting on resource mobilization with Direct Implementers (DIs) and Implementing Agencies (IAs).
Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Ensure high levels of transparency and accountability to both donors, to the project communities in line with WEWE’s vision to be the most financially compliant NGO in Nigeria.
Observe with all WEWE and donor’s performance management standards and indicators.
Strong skills in the following areas : project and people management skills; information management, research and reporting, administrative, networking and stakeholder engagement, negotiation and persuasion;
planning and organising; problem analysis; verbal and written communication; and organisational learning and capacity development.

JOB REQUIREMENT (KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS COMPETENCIES) Qualifications : A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Communications, or a related field.
Required Experience :
Minimal working experience of 2 years in knowledge management, communication, network facilitation or related field
Experience in OVC programming.
Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS office, Excel etc.),
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in English Language (Oral and Written)
Ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including relationships with donors and partners.
Proven ability to manage team, with show leadership, and able to work independently.
High degree of accountability and integrity.
Experience in working with national NGOs, local civil society organizations.
