Position Overview :

Responsible forscheduling of all the maintenance activities at the plant coordinating withmaintenance personnel and other areas to ensure that the work is performed inthe most efficient manner based on available capacity, job priorities and otherconsiderations, consolidating all information into the CMMS and generatingperiodic reports and performance indicators relevant to these activities.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

1. Comply with and enforce Company’s QHES Policies and Procedures and actively participate in all relevant Company programs during the execution of his functions.

  • Comply with directives, plans, procedures, guidelines, legal requirements and others adopted Company commitments with regards to Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE).
  • Participate actively in any QHSE activity required as part of the assigned duties and in general, in any other initiative implemented by the Company to improve QHSE performance.
  • Promote compliance with QHSE standards and guidelines at work, including any work engaging contractors, suppliers and customers.
  • 2. Schedule all maintenance activities using the corporate Maintenance Management System (SAP PM / MM).

    This includes :

  • Produce detailed schedules for all maintenance activities (fixed and mobile equipment)
  • Interface with and coordinate vendors, specialist and support services activities into all plants.
  • Ensure parts are available to carry out planned maintenance activities. Keep track of all jobs awaiting parts. Liaise with Procurement Department.
  • Work with Disciplines Supervisors to achieve optimum resources loading.
  • Coordinate with Operations and schedule jobs optimally based on their priority and impact on plant operation.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planners to ensure activity alignment.
  • Interface with Discipline Supervisors and Technicians in execution of maintenance activities.
  • Update schedule with agreed break-in’s and coordinate activity prioritization with all involved parties.
  • Update and populate data in the CMMS (SAP-PM / MM) and MS project.
  • Chair daily and weekly scheduling meeting whit in the Discipline Supervisors and others departments
  • 4. General standard report / metrics / KPIs.

    5. Collaborate in the development, implementation and follow-up of plant shutdown schedules.

    6. Assist whit the implementation of preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment.

    Knowledge :

  • Good working knowledge of MSProject as a scheduling tool
  • Excellent working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office suite, including MS Access.
  • Knowledge of CMMS software (SAP- PM / MM, Maximo).
  • Knowledge of Nigerianindustrial regulation
  • Skills & abilities :

  • High degree of personalmotivation to maintain accurate and consistent counts and issues, ability tomanage multiple task effectively and to prioritize work correctly, strong playerand an ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
  • Maintaining effectiveness whenexperiencing major changes in work task or the work environment, adjustingeffectively to new work structures, processes, or requirements or to work withina new culture.
  • Ability to establish positiveworking relationship whit individuals within or outside the workgroup.
  • Effectively managing time andresources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Academic background :

  • Engineering Degree
  • Experience :

  • 1-3 years of experience asmaintenance planner or scheduler in a construction site or operating plant.
  • Experience leading maintenanceteams in the field as supervisor or foreman.
