We are looking for a strong MarTech Strategy Lead to join our Marketing, Branding & Communications (MBC) team. You will report to the Head of Marketing Operations.
In this role, you will ensure that the most relevant and advanced marketing tools are in place to support demand generation, retention, and efficient processes.
The ideal candidate is first and foremost, a technologist. You will be an IT geek and one-part integrated marketing expert.
The role requires the ability to translate the marketing vision to technology implementation to deliver on marketing goals for both B2B and B2C clients.
Work closely with MBC management to build the roadmap of marketing technologies focused on continuous improvement of the customer journey
Evaluate tool usage, identify gaps in our technical setup, articulate and advocate for recommended improvements, and provide subject matter expertise to help effectuate those recommendations
Serve as the super-user and product evangelist for a variety of platforms, including new tech rollouts, training, troubleshooting issues, and developing solutions for all tech systems
Ensure team is kept apprised of updates, new developments, and enhanced functionality of existing tools
Manage the testing and evaluation of existing technology integrations to ensure data quality and usefulness
Monitor the performance and other service-level agreements (SLA) of marketing technology products
Identify and sundown outdated or unused marketing technology products
Liaise with IT staff on product assessments, system enhancements, and system upgrades
Lead and participate in a wide variety of technology projects spanning the entire marketing technology stack, CRM operations, system infrastructures, and integration with other databases, data sources, and systems
Research and recommend new marketing technology products that improve processes and support scalability
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Marketing Technology role or similar role in a high growth company
Equally comfortable discussing requirements and proposals with technical and non-technical personnel
Ability to articulate complex ideas in a way that is simply understood and facilitates decision making
Experience with marketing tools that support marketing initiatives in areas such as campaign management, attribution measurement, data management platforms, and behaviour analytics
Excellent attention to detail and an intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members at all levels
Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback
Creative problem-solving skills
Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
Strong communication skills.
