Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for the complete administration and organization of the construction and field personnel and directs the field effort through the activities of his staff.

Main Responsibilities

Lead a team of civil and HSE supervisors

Generation of project cost / resource estimates.

Actively monitors productivity on site

Ability to effectively work on more than one project at a time.

Lead a team helping to manage the site area in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Forecasting construction timeline

In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles

Carry out regular inspections and monitoring.

Weekly update on the work program.

Helping co-ordinate quality control, assurance of deliverables

Computing records for site reports.

Schedule site management meetings with all stakeholders.

Carrying out daily site inspections

Qualifications

First Degree in Civil Engineering is compulsory

Additional qualification is an added advantage

Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate Nigerian experience in road and bridge infrastructure projects.

In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles

Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation, and schedules

Knowledge of project management software

Solid organization and time-management skills

Team player.
