Things You’ll Do
Zapier is a fast-growing and remote-first company, so you'll get experience on many different projects to support our stakeholders.
Here are some things you might get to help our teams with :
Work with business teams to design, analyze and interpret experiments that help them to improve these metrics.
About You
You are a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. You communicate complex technical topics clearly and in an approachable way.
You have hands-on experience in defining and analyzing large, complex datasets, finding actionable business solutions to loosely defined revenue and operations problems.
You also deliver high-quality work that sets an example for the team and helps push them forward
You have proven stakeholder management expertise. As a collaborative thought partner, you're gifted at explaining your findings clearly to a non-technical audience.
You’re also excited by helping your team and stakeholders develop KPIs and self-serve dashboards. We believe in empowering our stakeholders to build their own dashboards and own their own first-order analysis.
You identify gaps in the process. Where there are gaps in the process, you work to understand the problem and step in to suggest improvements to help achieve team goals.
You own a variety of team projects and implement changes - You own your work and drive team projects forward. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with other senior employees from your team and others to deliver on complex projects.
You’re technically competent with relevant analytics tools (e.g. Python or R), including at least one SQL dialect - they’re all about the same; we happen to use Redshift.
You have deep expertise in designing and analyzing rigorous experiments of varying degrees of complexity. This includes mastery of at least one data visualization tool. We primarily use Looker.
You combine your strong business acumen with statistical expertise (e.g. confidence intervals, regression modeling, significance testing).
This includes demonstrated experience with common machine learning techniques for deep data mining and exploration (e.g.
predictive modeling, time series modeling, classification, and clustering techniques).
You care about the details and understand that without high-quality instrumentation, we cannot drive high-quality, impactful insights.
You enjoy collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship. You appreciate our team’s values of eagerness to collaborate with teammates with any level of statistical knowledge, iterating over your deliverables, and being curious.
You help improve the expertise of the immediate team by sharing best practices and leading by example.
